May 2021
We had an excellent turnout at the K&H Fundraiser Car and Bike Show Saturday afternoon. The weather was perfect and there was food, drink, and live music by Stone County. With a ton of great raffle prizes and a big 50/50, we hear the fundraising effort was very successful. We want to thank everyone who came out for this event and filled the lot with their beautiful cars and bikes as well as everyone who worked to put this event on. And a big thanks to SCMC President Lucien Boutin who took all these great photos!
We have to say it was really nice seeing everyone out with their cars and trucks at the first Bozrah Moose Lodge Cruise Night of 2021. This was a perfect way to start the season and it will only get better from here!
Perfect weather, a nice turnout, and an enthusiastic crowd made this a great way to begin our season at the Center of Montville. A big thanks to everyone who came out to support us and the Connecticut Children's Medical Center tonight. And an even bigger thanks to Hank who won tonight's 50/50 raffle and donated the bulk of it back to our charity!
We had several events to choose from today but we're glad we chose this one, the Norwich Tech Car Show to benefit the class of 2022! Between 150 and 200 cars and trucks came out to be seen and enjoyed by thousands of spectators. Lots of great prizes, raffles, food trucks and commercial supporters too. With so much variety, there was something for everyone and the students did a good job keeping everything going despite being overwhelmed at times. Our hats are off to the Class of 2022. Great job everyone!
Another Bozrah Moose Lodge cruise night in the books. always a great time!
June 2021
Although the sky looked threatening at times not a drop of rain fell. It was hot but so were the cars and trucks that came out tonight. We had great food, great drinks and a great time as always!
We heard about this event at the Sprague Rod & Gun Club Cruise but didn't know much about it. A classic car show that required preregistration and had a cut-off date plus some racing-type events was what we heard. Turns out it was a first-time fundraiser event put on by Foxwoods. Anyone could have entered the car show and there was incredible drifting and autocross racing in the old Foxwoods employee parking lot as well. The fundraiser for cancer brought out lots of supporters and there were food trucks doing a brisk business. The car show photos are first followed by the paddock and supporter photos and finally, some of the racing events. And we have no idea why there were potatoes in the urinal but we do hope Foxwoods does this again. It drew a huge and enthusiastic crowd and we will be better prepared next time if they do!
Despite the warm, humid and threatening weather we had a really good turnout for tonight's cruise night at the Center of Montville. A big thanks to everyone who joined us tonight (we know many of you got wet going home) and a hearty shout-out to Mike Gardner who won the 50/50 and donated the bulk of it back to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
We didn't realize how much we missed this show last year until today! Always a great turnout and today was no exception, especially with the fantastic weather. We had great food and drink, wonderful music, ice cream and a lot of people enjoying the beautiful cars and trucks. A big thanks to SCMC member Reverend Cal Lord (last photo) who puts on this special show for all to enjoy!
After the car show in Westerly we headed to the Lions Club Fairgrounds in Hebron for the Wishes on Wheels Benefit Cruise hosted by the Gear Head Mafia Car Club. Let's face it, there's nothing like two great events in one day, especially on Father's Day! Here we had live music by Border Genius and the best one dollar ice cream our photographer has ever had. All in all, the perfect way to wrap up a fun-filled day!
It started off slow due to the dreary skies but we really had a very good turnout at the first Ocean Beach cruise night of 2021. Soon the whole area was filled and it was great seeing old friends, many for the first time in well over a year. A big thanks to Jim Reed from WNLC who gave a heart-felt tribute to Speedbowl Kurt Vibber and received a loud and lasting round of applause from the attendees. And just as Jim began making the tribute, the skies completely cleared and the sun came out. We know it was Kurt, giving us a sign of his approval from above.
Another Bozrah Moose Lodge Cruise night is in the books and absolutely perfect weather meant a big turnout tonight. Great food from the Moose Club Grill and as always we ate too much. Can't wait to come back on July 14th!
It was a full house at Ocean Beach tonight! Being hot and humid in the city, folks came from all over to cool off and enjoy the beautiful cars, trucks and motorcycles. And there was no shortage of them to see!
July 2021
After a gloomy and rainy holiday weekend the sky finally cleared for the Ocean Beach Cruise Night. The nice weather brought out lots of beautiful cars, trucks and bikes and hundreds of spectators too. And a big thanks to the 160 Driving Academy of Waterford who sponsored tonight's cruise!
Because there were showers around it was a little slow at Ocean Beach tonight. But not a drop of rain fell on us here and it was really rather comfortable for a change. Those who braved the weather enjoyed a really nice evening at the beach. And we want to give a big shout-out to Smith's 4X4 Equipment in North Franklin for powering tonight's event!
The gloomy skies cleared just in time for the Bozrah Moose Lodge cruise night tonight! So nice to see the sun again and lots of cars, trucks and people came out to enjoy it. Could have been a little less humid but we'll take this over rain any day!
There were showers all around us but it was dry all night at Ocean Beach tonight. The weather kept many away but those who came out enjoyed a cool breeze and lots of beautiful cars, trucks and motorcycles.
The crowd was huge, the cars were plentiful, the farmer's market was bustling and it was great until the showers came. It seems like we can't get one day without a little rain lately. Still, we had a nice evening, found lots of goodies at the market and, until the showers came, it was beautiful weather.
We postponed last week's cruise night due to the threat of severe weather. No problem with that tonight, the weather was absolutely perfect! We had a good crowd of cars, trucks and people and it was nice to see old friends and a lot of new folks as well. Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us tonight. We had a great time and we hope you did too!
This was the first Monday cruise night this summer without the threat of rain and the lot quickly filled up! There was a huge turnout of spectators too, looking for a cool sea breeze and enjoying all the beautiful cars, trucks and motorcycles! All in all, a perfect night at the beach.
The humidity disappeared making for a beautiful evening at the Bozrah Moose Lodge tonight. A lighter turnout than usual due to the rescheduled Colchester cruise but still a respectable field!
August 2021
More perfect weather and another great Monday night at the beach with lots of beautiful cars, trucks and motorcycles. It was great to have Johnny G back from Florida and a big thanks to the 160 Driving Academy for powering tonight's cruise night!
Only the die-hards came out tonight because most had to drive through some rain to get here. But the beach stayed dry, cool and comfortable all evening so it was worth the extra effort. A respectable turnout considering the weather and a good time was had by all who braved the showers!
Wow! For a first-time event this one really hit the bullseye! Almost 100 beautiful cars and trucks came out to enjoy a warm summer evening with great live music, incredible food and lots of unique vendors. We tried to capture the entire event but the photos don't show the enthusiasm and the crowds that kept coming and coming all evening. We're hoping this will be the start of a regular event in the future!
It was a hot night (the weather that is) at the Bozrah Moose Lodge cruise tonight. But it wasn't raining, the food was great and despite the heat and humidity, we all had a good time!
For some reason we always seem to get wet at this one! Well, no matter because it was nowhere near as bad as the last time. Despite the brief showers almost 50 cars and trucks came out to enjoy the Salem Town Green, the good food and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts wiping down their rides!
It was a full house at Ocean Beach tonight - the beautiful weather brought out the most cars, trucks, motorcycles and people of any night so far this season. Suffice it to say we had difficulty taking photos of all the beautiful rides but did the best we could. If you missed tonight's cruise night here, you really missed a good one!
Is this the calm before the storm? As usual these days the sky was murky but we stayed dry all evening as many came out for perhaps one last time before Hurricane Henri arrives. The market was busy and we all had a great time. While taking the photos we wondered how many of these trees will still be there for September's cruise night.
Another warm and sticky night at the Moose Lodge! Had a few different cars come out tonight along with the regulars who come to every one. Great food, drink and friends always makes these cruise nights special!
Despite the occasional sprinkles we had a good cruise night tonight with about 30 cars on the lot. We want to thank everyone who came out and risked the iffy weather with their beautiful rides to support us. And a big shout-out to Deb who won the 50/50 and donated most of it back to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center!
A cloudy but cooler day brought out a huge number of cars and trucks for this 10th annual show to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Alliance. All the volunteers did a great job keeping things organized, especially with the crowds coming and going. With good food, lots of vendors and great music by Johnny G, we're sure everyone enjoyed the afternoon here!
This was a tough one - inland, it looked like there would be some storms but it was sunny and beautiful at the beach. As such, there was a lower turnout than normal but no shortage of beautiful cars and trucks. And GOOD NEWS - they are extending the cruise nights here to the Monday AFTER Labor Day!
September 2021
As always, we had a great time at the 6th Annual Ledyard Rotary Classic Car Cruise. In a new location (behind the old location) there was plenty of shade this year and about 140 cars and trucks came out to take advantage of the really nice day.
What a night! When we arrived, all 51 Miss America contestants were visiting the beach in their tour buses (see last pics). And with spectacular weather a lot of beautiful cars, trucks and motorcycles came down to the beach for the cruise. With the season here coming to a close (next Monday is the last cruise night here) it was great to spend time with all our friends!
October 2021
We had a nice time today at Hank’s End of Season Car Show. With spectacular Fall weather we expected more cars but we did have many that came and went as the afternoon progressed. It was a very relaxing afternoon too with live music by ‘Socks With Sandals’. As always the food was great and we had a good time chatting with friends. A big thanks to everyone at Hank’s for letting us get together one more time before the season quickly comes to a close!
