SCMC's Season Opener at AutoZone - 4/18/26
We were lucky the weather held for us today. It was cloudy but comfortable at our Annual Spring Opener at AutoZone in Groton. This is where our club began 27 years ago and we always come back to begin our season here. About 55 or 60 cars and trucks came out to join us and it was good to see our members and friends after the long winter. Best of all, we met some new folks too. A big shout-out to AutoZone for the raffle donations. And a big thanks goes out to everyone who joined us today, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Hank's Dairy Bar Car Cruise on the Lawn - 5/5/26
With absolutely perfect weather it was a great night at the first 2026 Hank’s Dairy Bar Car Cruise on the Lawn tonight. We counted 80+ cars and hundreds of folks that came out to enjoy the evening, the beautiful cars, the great food, and the ice cream. And it was nice to see all our car friends we haven’t seen all winter too. A big shout-out to Hank’s Dairy Bar for being an SCMC club sponsor and for putting on these monthly cruise nights for everyone!
98.7 WNLC Ocean Beach Cruise Night - 5/11/26
It was early days of the season and it was rather cool. About 20 cars and trucks came out for the first 98.7 WNLC Ocean Beach Cruise Night of 2026 tonight. It’s always tough before Memorial Day when the beach officially opens. But although small in numbers tonight was big in enjoyment. We caught up with friends, met some new folks, and we think everyone had a good time. Hope to see a lot more next week and remember, there’s NO CRUISE NIGHT on Memorial Day!
Cruise Night at Square Peg Pizza - 5/12/26
First it was Village Pizza, then Fleming’s Field, now it’s Square Peg Pizza but the cruise night put on here by the Dream Machine Classics Auto Club remains the same. Tonight we had perfect weather and the venue filled up fast. Square Peg pizza slices, music by The Pom, and Ra Ra’s ice cream all added to the evening’s enjoyment. We’re looking forward to next month’s cruise here, hope you are too!
Bozrah Moose Lodge Cruise Night - 5/13/26
Using their rain date, it was windy and cold at the first Bozrah Moose Lodge Cruise Night. But it didn’t rain! As such, only the die-hards came out but it’s always an enjoyable gathering nevertheless. Just hoping for warmer weather for the next one. A big thanks to our own die-hard Lucien for the great pics!
Southeastern Connecticut Mustang Club Cruise Night - 5/16/26
The absolutely perfect weather brought out more than 50 cars and trucks to our first SCMC Cruise Night of 2026 tonight. Not a record but right up there with some of our best cruise nights. And we sold more raffle tickets than we remember going back a few years too. The 50/50 climbed to $360 ($180 to the winner) and our half will be going to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. So a big thanks to everyone who joined us tonight. It was a busy night for us but also a lot of fun. We hope you all enjoyed it too!
98.7 WNLC Ocean Beach Cruise Night - 5/18/26
Nice warmer weather brought more cars to the second 98.7 WNLC Ocean Beach Cruise night tonight. But, with the beach not yet open for the season, things were still a little on the quiet side. No matter, we all had a good time and we know things will be jumping here after Memorial Day. And remember – NO CRUISE NIGHT on Memorial Day – see you all on June 1st!
Herb Plotnick's Celebration of Life - 5/24/26
Well, the rain didn’t stop hundreds of well-wishers from coming to Herb Plotnick’s Celebration of Life at Herb’s Country Deli Restaurant this afternoon. Although the weather kept the classic cars from coming out, Jeff set up a wonderful display of Herb’s memorabilia under the tent and the buffet was enjoyed by everyone who stopped by. It was truly a celebration of a life well lived!

98.7 WNLC Ocean Beach Cruise Night - 6/1/26
Yes, it started out cloudy, breezy, and cold. Certainly not ‘beach weather’. But the sun broke through a bit later and about 25 cars and trucks finally made it to the 98.7 WNLC Ocean Beach Cruise Night tonight. Still waiting for some summer-like weather but hey, at least it didn’t rain!
